Cebu's First IT Security Summit Set Feb. 27-28

One of the major highlights of the first Cebu Information Technology Security Summit 2007 on February 27 to 28 is the formation of the first Cebu Knights of the Web-Visayas chapter.

The Knights of the Web of whose goal is to protect the worldwide web from cyber crimes, threats and terrorism, will be the first and only security organization in Asia recognized by EC Council, an International E-Commerce organization. To date, it has 250 active members in the country.

Global Knowledge Associates, Inc. together with the EC Council Malaysia, and Trend Micro will hold the event at SM City Cebu, the first of its kind held outside Manila.

Global Knowledge has appointed Secure DNA PI as the special event organizer of the summit.

The summit will include discussions of current and future issues, presentations from members and guests, and demonstrations of various tools and techniques, involving the information security field.

These will help the IT manager learn to protect his company's network, countermeasure corporate espionage, intellectual property theft, hacking, computer forensic investigation, wireless and network security, among others.

Invited guest speakers and trainors will come from EC Council Malaysia, National Bureau of Investigation and other certified security professionals and practitioners.
